How to write in color in your WhatsApp Messages?

WhatsApp does not allow you to write in color on WhatsApp In direct messages: There is no built-in option for this.

Here are two workarounds for this limitation, whether you're on Android or on iPhone : a third-party app called Stylish Text, and a built-in option reserved for articles of incorporation.

The application Stylish Text : Add some style to your messages

Stylish Text doesn't actually color your text. It transforms your letters into Unicode special characters (bold, italics, decorative styles) and lets you add decorative designs and colorful emojis. The result is more creative than a standard message, even though the text isn't actually in color.

Download and install the app

Download Stylish Text on Android : It is available on the Play Store. On iPhone, you can find it on the’App Store. Once the app is installed, grant the requested permissions when you launch it for the first time.

Choose a text style

Open the app and type your message in the text box. A long list of typefaces and a selection of whimsical designs will then appear. Select the style you like, then copy the resulting text.

Send your message to WhatsApp

Press the’icon WhatsApp Suggested by the app, choose your contact or your group chat, then confirm the message. You can also paste the text directly into any conversation.

A limit to be aware of, depending on the device

The effect is visible only if the recipient uses a compatible device with Unicode characters. On some older models, the symbols appear as small, illegible squares. Try this tip out with a friend or family member before using it everywhere.

The built-in option: colored text in the articles of incorporation WhatsApp

If you'd rather avoid third-party apps, WhatsApp currently offers true native color support, but only for articles of incorporation. It works just as well on Android than on iPhone. Here's how to send colored messages using this feature:

1. Open WhatsApp and select the tab Status.
2. Tap the icon pencil to create a text status.
3. Type your message, then tap the’color icon (the color palette) to change the background color.
4. Use the icon T to change the police and text alignment.

By tapping the colored icon several times, you can scroll through the colored backgrounds available. The text automatically adjusts to remain readable on any background. Once you're happy with the result, all you have to do is share the status with your contacts.

Please note: In a conversation or group, WhatsApp still doesn't offer basic colors for messages. To format your text in chat, the only option is Stylish Text.
