The Phantom Glove is needed to upgrade Headless Lhutel.
Lhutel periodically teleports during combat, allowing her to move quickly, avoid being surrounded by enemies, and evade enemy area-of-effect attacks.
The blows from his spear cause the death blight status to accumulate on the target. However, the vast majority of enemies in Elden Ring are immune to the death blight. Furthermore, one of the main types of enemies not immune to the death curse, namely NPC invaders, tends to only appear in areas where the player is unable to summon them or summon other spirits through spirit ashes. (Note: As of version 1.08, this may be slightly more viable in the Coliseum of the Caelids, where you can summon Lhutel or other spirit ashes to battle other players).
