What's Included in the WoW Subscription

An active World of Warcraft subscription grants access to all content in the base game as well as the expansions included in your version. Specifically, this means:

• Access to all areas and quests available in the game; ;
• Played on the retail version and on WoW Classic at no additional cost; ;
• Access to dungeons, raids, and PvP content; ;
• You can create multiple characters on the same Battle.net account.

Recent extensions (such as Battle for Azeroth or the following) may require a separate purchase depending on your edition. Check your version on the Battle.net page of your account.

How does WoW membership work?

A WoW subscription is not a lifetime subscription: the selected term renews automatically using your saved payment method until you cancel it. You retain full access to Azeroth as long as your subscription remains active; you can cancel it at any time from your Battle.net account.

How do I pay for a WoW subscription?

There are several options available depending on your preferences:

• By credit card : recurring subscription (1, 3, or 6 months) with automatic renewal until canceled.
• Prepaid Card (30 or 60 days) : Buy a card online (Instant-Gaming, CDKeys, MMOGA, Eneba) or in a store, then redeem the code on your account. This is a great way to avoid committing to a recurring subscription.
• World of Warcraft Token : A WoW token purchased with in-game gold grants 30 additional days of playtime without spending real money. This is a popular option among players who regularly farm resources.

How do I cancel a WoW subscription?

To cancel your subscription, log in to Battle.net, go to «Manage Active Subscriptions» in your account settings, and then click "Cancel Subscription." You'll still have access to the game until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Is WoW free?

Yes, to some extent. World of Warcraft offers a free trial that lets you play up to level 20 without paying. All you have to do is create a Battle.net account, download the app on your PC or Mac, and then select the trial option to begin your adventure in the world of Azeroth.

In this trial version, players can explore the starting areas, complete quests, and try out several dungeons. It’s a good way to see if the game is right for you before making a purchase. Here are the main limitations:

• Maximum level capped at 20; ;
• Limited to 10 gold coins; ;
• Unable to join a guild; ;
• General chat and whispers disabled; ;
• No access to extensions or content in higher-level folders.

A paid subscription is required to access all content and extensions.
