Age of Apes 2026 Tier List: Best PvP Fighters

This Tier list of fighters Age of Apes classifies each fighter by rarity (legendary, epic, rare) and by utility, for two purposes: the PvP and the farming.

The rankings change with every major update, so be sure to check them regularly in September 2026. The game is available on mobile, including on Android.

There are two key factors to consider before deciding where to invest your resources:

Utility in the Game depending on your playstyle: unit type, attacking cities or enemies on the map, support, mobility, defense, garrison, or a versatile profile.
Ease of Obtaining : Rare fighters drop more often than epic ones, which in turn are more common than legendary ones. Since you need duplicates to level up and improve skills, a hard-to-obtain legendary fighter may end up being weaker than a well-upgraded epic one.

We distinguish between two broad categories combatants in Age of Apes : THE PvP fighters, designed to attack, defend, and support your troops, and the farming fighters, dedicated to gathering resources on the map.

The grade (S+, S, A, B) indicates the active power of a unit compared to others of the same rarity.

1. PvP tier list, Age of Apes

In PvP, the best legendary items by rank S+ are Derrick, Emma and Greg : versatile, and two of them can be farmed for free.

If you're just starting out, always prioritize a fighter farmable rather than a character reserved for paid offers. You can level up his active skills faster, without breaking the bank.

Legendary

S+ | Legendary fighters of S+ rank

These are the best PvP fighters in the game in Age of Apes. They're useful in almost any situation, and two of them are available for free.

Derrick (Can be obtained in Buried Treasures): formidable against cities.
Emma (obtainable through an event): excellent at support thanks to its active support capabilities.
Greg (farmable in the Dead End Trial): very effective in battles on the map.

S | Legendary fighters of rank S

They’re still excellent fighters, but they’re more specialized or harder to obtain than those in the S+ tier.

Many of them are excellent troop leaders. Be sure to check each character's talent tree before investing your resources.

Epic

The Best Epic Fighters in Age of Apes. Perfect for quickly building an army without spending any money.

Alexis (can be farmed through daily quests): effective for protect the city.
Bébé Cosmo (can be obtained through daily quests): effective in battles on the map.
Darcy (given for free at the start of the game): effective in battles on the map, a very good first fighter.
Fuscata (can be farmed through daily quests): effective for protect the city.
Génésis (can be obtained through daily quests): effective in battles on the map.
Korutopi (can be farmed through daily quests): effective for protect the city.
Len (can be farmed through daily quests): effective for protect the city.

A rank epic fighters

Good supporting fighters, especially useful as troop leaders depending on the type of units you're developing.

Bruce (can be earned through daily quests): leader for the Bastonneurs.

Mike (can be earned through daily quests): leader for the Shooters.

Rare

B | Rare rank B fighter

Rare fighters are easy to obtain but they quickly become outdated in PvP. Replace them with an epic or legendary item as soon as possible.

Scott (given for free at the start of the game): good enough to get started.

2. Tier List Farming, Age of Apes

For the farming in Age of Apes, you're not looking for power in combat but rather the efficiency of resource collection.

The best gatherer-warriors increase collection speed and payload capacity. Here is the ranking by rarity, from the most powerful to the most accessible.

Legendary

The Pickers legendary offer the best harvest bonus in the game. Level them up first if you want to farm quickly and free up your time for other tasks.

Laurent (Available at the Tavern): Legendary gatherer—the best choice for filling your warehouses quickly.
Vance (Available in Buried Treasures): a legendary gatherer that can be obtained for free.

Epic

The Pickers epic are a great compromise early in the game. You get them just by playing, without spending anything, and they hold their own until you get your legendary cards.

Dempsey (Can be obtained through daily quests): An epic gatherer available within the first few weeks.
Rémy (Can be obtained through daily quests): Epic Gatherer, useful for covering a second collection point.

Rare

Side rare, your options for farming are limited. You only have one viable harvester, which is perfect for the first few hours of the game.

Sir Francis (given for free at the start of the game): perfect for getting started, but you should upgrade it as soon as you get an epic or legendary harvester.
