It's important to note that tier lists for this type of game are worthless. There are some champions that are better to start with, but after that, it all depends on your gameplay style!

Our tips for getting started:
For those just starting out, I recommend choosing the Hero who seems to have the best stats to get off to a good start. If you want to play with magic, the astrologer will be the best champion! The vagabond is also one of the best characters for beginners.
Each character is first in his field, in each description, I will put where it is strongest!
Tier list Elden Ring:
Tier list in alphabetical order.
IMPORTANT Please read the character description carefully to understand its strengths and weaknesses! The page may be modified after some testing on my part.

Tier character:
- Astrologer
- Warrior
- Hero
- Samurai
- Vagabond (you will have to remove a piece of your armor to not be too heavy!)
(These champions are good for those who are just starting the game (please read the champion descriptions for more information).
A tier character:
- Prisoner
- Bandit
- Confessor
- Prophet
(These champions are not as good as the ones above, but may be better suited to your gameplay!)
Character B tier:
- Indigent
(This champion is best played when you are familiar with the game or want more of a challenge, but once you get the hang of it, you can equip and upgrade him however you like, making him one of the best characters in the game!)
The Hero in Elden Ring:
The hero will be the base character for many new players in my opinion! He starts with a shield and an axe, he has quite a lot of strength. He is a CAC (hand to hand) champion.
Its advantages :
The hero is the one who starts with the most Strength.
Its weaknesses:
He has less wit, dexterity and intelligence.

The Bandit in Elden Ring:
Start with a lot of dexterity. It will be more of a class for those who want to play stealthier.

The bandit is the one who starts with the most Strength.

The Indigent in Elden Ring:
The Indigent allows you to start at level 1, you can choose exactly which stats to upgrade at each level, and it starts with a club. It's one of my favorite classes to watch during Dark Souls streams. It has no armor.
Its advantages :
His asset is his weakness, you will be able to decide everything about this champion. (He starts with balanced stats of 10 all around).

The one with the fewest stats, because level 1.
