The women of The Legend of Zelda leave a lasting impression—some because of their design, others because of their personality.

10. Karane
We're kicking off this list with Karane, a prominent figure in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. A student at the Knight Academy, she catches the attention of all the other students. Her heart, however, is already taken by Pipit.
As for her style, she wears the uniform of the Knights of Skyloft : a simple green tunic and a little beret that give her a look all her own. In fact, it’s the the only female knight to wear this hat in the game.
9. Cremia
Its charm comes from its long red hair and her mature personality. She looks like a grown-up version of Malon, the farmer's wife from’Ocarina of Time, a resemblance that made a strong impression on many players. In terms of design, the symbol of the Triforce peeks out discreetly from his belt. His presence in Termina remains an unexplained mystery, which adds a touch of mystery to the character.
8. Navy
Marine is, above all, a musical soul who dreams of leaving the island to explore the world. This sensitivity allows her to form bonds easily—with people, animals, and even some monsters. In sixth place, Riju is the young chief of the tribe Gerudo. In Tears of the Kingdom, she becomes the new Sage of the Thunder. She agrees to handle the Secret Stone passed down by his ancestor, Urbosa.
Despite that youth, Riju embodies wisdom and sense of responsibility inherited from his predecessor.
She is fulfilling her political role as head of the Gerudo with great maturity, even going so far as to set aside the «no men in town» rule by recognizing the skills of Link. And behind the chef, there’s still a bit of childhood left: some sand seal plush toys take pride of place in his room—a detail that reveals his endearing side in this game.
5. Urbosa
Fifth in the standings, Urbosa is a standout character in the series. This Gerudo has a slender, muscular build, a tanned skin and water-green eyes. Her scarlet-red braided hair, her golden headdress, her navy blue lipstick and her golden Gerudo armor complete a truly distinctive look. The’Emblem of Hyrule even adorns her blue skirt.
In its spirit form, its appearance remains the same, but with paler colors and turquoise balls of flame. She may look intimidating, but Urbosa is actually charismatic and kind. In Breath of the Wild, she maintains a strong maternal bond toward Princess Zelda, because she was a friend of her mother, the Queen of Hyrule. Her playful side comes out when she plays with the lightning bolts which she uses to surprise people.
4. Lana
In fourth place, Lana is here white witch introduced in Hyrule Warriors, which is then found in Hyrule Warriors Legends and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition. Her look immediately catches the eye: outfit blue and white, purple eyes, sky-blue hair embellished with crystals and a red barrette shaped like butterfly.
Her personality, however, stands in stark contrast to her fierce style. Lana remains gentle and caring, with a clear commitment to Link and a great deal of emphasis placed on Cya, her dark side. She can, however, be colder toward the Princess Zelda. This mix of kindness and occasional flashes of jealousy adds real depth to her personality, and that's what makes her so endearing.
3. Princess Zelda
In third place on the podium was the Princess Zelda is emerging as the iconic figure of the entire series. Member of the the royal family of Hyrule, it remains at the heart of every game in the The Legend of Zelda, no matter which hero is portrayed.
She is most often depicted as a young woman with blonde hair, but his appearance varies from episode to episode. In Twilight Princess, it features darker hair. Her royal fashion style, with ornate earrings and dresses in various colors, reflects her status. In Breath of the Wild, it becomes Commander of the Champions and puts on a blue shirt embroidered with Hylian motifs. It doesn't get much more iconic than that in the world of’Hyrule.

Right behind first place, Midna is a creature of Twilight who rules the Kingdom of Twilight. In Twilight Princess, she supports Link in a cute, mischievous little form. But at the end of the game, its true appearance is revealed: a stunning woman with blue and black skin and orange hair, dressed in an elegant outfit that accentuates her stunning and mysterious appearance.
This true form is rarely seen on screen, which leaves players wanting more and enhances its appeal. It’s worth noting that this transformation is part of the base game, without any DLC. It's in Hyrule Warriors that Midna, in her Twili form, becomes a playable character through the Twilight Princess DLC pack, even though its mischievous version is already included by default.

Cya (French name of the character, Cia (in the English version) tops the rankings. This dark witch is the main antagonist of Hyrule Warriors. Since the update Version 1.3.0, it also becomes a playable character, which makes his role even more interesting.
Powerful, she leads the war against Hyrule driven by a obsessive love for Link. Corrupted version of the Guardian of Time, it displays a very dark complexion and a confident look.
Sa provocative outfit plays on contrasts: feathered heels, a plunging neckline, and a dark, bird-shaped headpiece. During a confrontation with Midna, this headdress is destroyed, revealing a face that is surprisingly similar to that of Lana and highlighting their connection.
After his redemption, his new outfit is reminiscent of Lana and the Keeper of Time, but in a variation of black with a red gem. A memorable finale for the series' most memorable female character Zelda.
English
