The house that students choose gives a glimpse of their personality in the world of Hogwarts. This information about Hufflepuff might help orient you to this house in Hogwarts Legacy.

#1: How are the Hufflepuff students?
Hufflepuff students have modesty and loyalty as their watchwords. They are endowed with personalities synonymous with these main qualities of the house. According to the description of the Sorting Hat, these nature (and food) lovers are indeed very calm and tender and show patience towards their friends. Which should give you a good reason to join them if you think you look like them.
N°2: Hufflepuff characters in Harry Potter
In the saga in the house of Hufflepuff shelters, among the most famous characters, the teachers: Pomona Chourave (a key character in volume 2), Brûlepot (who teaches the care of magical creatures). Then, later in volume 4, we meet Cédric Digory who represents the house during the Triwizard tournament. Norbert Scamander is also from this house, as is Auror Nymphadora Tonks who has the gift of shapeshifting (allowing him to change his facial appearance all the time).
We will of course find many well-known characters in the game, mainly Professor Mirabel Garlick (who teaches botany), or Poppy Sweeting, a young girl with an in-depth knowledge of creatures and a particular aversion to poachers and those who work with them. She is particularly bright and very compassionate and will be our companion character in Hogwarts Legacy.
#3: The Founder and the Hufflepuff Ghost
Hufflepuff was built by Helga Hufflepuff, in yellow and black colors and with the badger as totem animal. Helga is well known for her exemplary loyalty as well as her culinary skills (hence Hufflepuffs' reputation as good eaters by the way).
The ghost of Hufflepuff, called the fat monk (house mascot) is that of a sorcerer's apprentice at Hogwarts who converted to become a monk. He was condemned to death because the Church suspected that he still practiced magic to cure peasants suffering from smallpox. This very friendly and helpful ghost is the only one in the 4 houses to have wanted to give a second chance to Peeves, the insufferable prankster ghost from the books.
#4: About the Hufflepuff Common Room
Hufflepuff's common room is featured in the books but was never depicted in the movies as Harry never had the opportunity to enter it. Thus, the game will give a first glimpse of this room and what can be found there. This is an underground room not far from the Hogwarts kitchen (also to be discovered for the first time). It looks like a badger hole, with all the details mentioned in the books (a low ceiling, round doors and copper objects), in particular a large number of green plants which recalls the passion of its pupils for nature. To access it, you must strike following the measure of the syllables of the name "Helga Hufflepuff" on the second barrel from the bottom, in the middle of the second row. If you miss the right number of hits or the right hitting barrel, you'll have a stream of vinegar poured all over you.
#5: Other Hufflepuff Facts
Hufflepuff is considered the house of the good guys because it has very few students who have become dark mages. Hufflepuffs indeed reflect positivity and cheerfulness. Good reasons that should push nature lovers to choose it as their home in Hogwarts Legacy to discover all its virtues.
