Bâtonneur's story

The Bâtonneurs are a small but unique guild of warriors who have carved out a place for themselves in dwarven society. They eschew the heavy armor favored by their kin and wear their hair in a style clearly influenced by foreign traditions, which is almost unthinkable for a dwarf worthy of the name.

Leur arme de prédilection est également inhabituelle : un bâton à deux mains doté de deux couronnes semblables à celles d’une masse. Ils la manient avec une grande précision, déviant et contre-attaquant dans une effrayante rafale de coups. La légende veut que le fondateur de la guilde, un aventurier dont le nom est depuis longtemps perdu dans l’histoire, ait voyagé très loin, apprenant ce qu’il pouvait des différentes cultures et de leurs méthodes de guerre.

Cependant, aucune ne l’a autant séduit que les arts martiaux de l’Orient mystérieux, une terre dont on dit qu’elle se trouve bien au-delà du maudit col de Brimstone et des mers agitées qui séparent les continents. À son retour, l’audacieux aventurier ne souhaitait rien d’autre que de partager ses connaissances afin que les siens en sortent grandis. Bien que les tendances isolationnistes des nains rendent la tâche difficile, il finit par fonder une guilde de guerriers qui transmettra ses enseignements à travers les siècles.
