History of Sieur Nicolas

Les anciennes légendes de tout Teleria parlent d’un puissant guerrier, dont la vie s’étend sur de nombreuses années. Il a fait ses premiers pas sur cette terre lorsque le monde était encore jeune, il s’est dressé seul contre des obstacles insurmontables et a abattu des créatures tordues qui dévoreraient le soleil lui-même.

C’est lui qui s’est aventuré au-delà de la toundra stérile et dans les anciennes terres gelées du nord de Telerian pour briser une armée de géants des glaces qui menaçait de submerger les jeunes royaumes humains. Après avoir tué le roi des géants en combat singulier, il s’est emparé du château creusé dans un glacier et en a fait une forteresse dédiée à Lumaya.

Telle est l’histoire de Sir Nicholas, connu sous différents noms par les habitants de Teleria, mais toujours présent dans leur folklore. On dit qu’à ce jour, il est assis sur un trône parmi les tours de glace déchiquetée et qu’il contemple le monde à travers un cristal de scansion offert par l’Arbitre elle-même.

C’est par son jugement que les justes reçoivent de grands bienfaits et les méchants leur juste châtiment. Si Sir Nicholas n’est peut-être pas aussi omnipotent que certains contes le dépeignent, on ne peut nier que de nombreux méchants puissants ont disparu sans laisser de traces une nuit de solstice d’hiver…
