History of Bad-el-Kazar
The stories of a powerful necromancer known as Bad-el-Kazar have long been whispered throughout Teleria. He is a shadowy figure, a mastermind who prefers to act through pawns and unwitting servants rather than confront his enemies in person. Even when forced to intervene directly on the battlefield, he remains behind the lines of his “allies” and calls upon the power of terrible magic.
The origins of Bad-el-Kazar are shrouded in mystery, and much has been lost due to his own efforts. The necromancer prefers it this way, for the less his enemies know, the easier it is to confuse and mislead them. But there is sufficient reason to believe that he was once a White Mage, serving Lumaya and the Sacred Order. Over the years, the lure of forbidden knowledge pushed Kazar further and further down a dark path, and his thirst for power proved to be his undoing.
When Kazar sought to unravel the mysteries of life and death, he turned to the vile art of necromancy. He secretly collected a multitude of dark artifacts, learning from them until his soul was as twisted and withered as the pages of his spell books. Alas, his intelligence and power remained as keen as ever, and the Dark Lord Siroth did not miss the opportunity to enlist the services of such a powerful adept.
His servants whispered in Kazar's dreams, guiding him toward ever greater depths of damnation. Finally, Bad-el-Kazar disappeared, erasing as many traces of his past life as he could. Guided by visions, he made his way to Brimstone, where a great gate had been forgotten for centuries. Kazar had to ensure that the gate would be reopened to allow the fearsome armies of Demonspawn to enter Teleria.
In exchange, he would gain eternal life and unparalleled power. Kazar accepted the terms of the deal and set out into the mortal realms, heralding the evil of Siroth. But who can say whether the necromancer is truly a puppet of powers beyond his control, or whether his cunning and ambition are solely aimed at carrying out his own nefarious plans...
