History of Belanor
La haine est une chose puissante, qui est peut-être aussi difficile à surmonter que la mort. Pourtant, même là, l’amour trouve son chemin, comme dans l’histoire de Belanor et Zavia. Un destin cruel les a fait combattre dans des camps différents lors d’un des nombreux conflits entre les Hauts Elfes d’Aravia et les exilés connus sous le nom d’Elfes Noirs. Pourtant, malgré le brouillard sanglant de la guerre, à travers la haine et la fureur, ces deux âmes étaient unies.
En tant que traînards d’une bataille entre les factions elfiques belligérantes, ils ont d’abord été forcés de survivre ensemble dans un désert hostile infesté d’orcs. L’adversité et les dangers auxquels ils ont été confrontés leur ont permis de découvrir une personne derrière le masque d’un ennemi.
La passion qui s’est alors déclenchée a survécu bien au-delà d’une alliance temporaire de convenance. Finalement, Belanor et Zavia ont choisi de s’enfuir ensemble plutôt que de poursuivre leur querelle. Considérés comme des traîtres et des déserteurs par leurs anciens alliés, ils n’eurent d’autre choix que de vivre en fuite.
Ensemble, ils ont affronté la persécution, la pauvreté et les dangers mortels. Finalement, ils ont été capturés et condamnés à mort pour leurs crimes. Pourtant, lorsque les premières lueurs de l’aube apparaissent et que les geôliers arrivent pour conduire les fugitifs à l’échafaud, ils sont déconcertés.
La cellule était fermée à clé et sécurisée, sans le moindre indice sur la manière dont les captifs s’étaient échappés. La seule chose qu’ils trouvèrent fut deux plumes sur le sol de pierre, l’une noire comme la nuit, l’autre blanche comme la lumière de Lumaya. A ce jour, personne ne sait ce qui s’est passé cette nuit-là, bien que certains, comme ils le font souvent, attribuent l’évasion miraculeuse à l’Arbitre.
