History of Gala Longuenattes (Gala Longbraids)
Crude, violent, and extremely good at punching faces – provided she can get to them, otherwise guts and groins will do – Gala Longbraids is truly the epitome of a dwarf lady worth her salt (d according to his own words, in any case). Indeed, many surface dwellers would be shocked to realize that Gala is, in fact, nobility, the daughter of a respected Jarl and heiress of an ancient bloodline. This decision had proven wise when the legions of Siroth had invaded the fortress of the jarl, besieging it and reducing it almost to nothing. Never having considered being a damsel in distress, Gala grabbed one of the ornate hammers from the castle's armory and charged into battle. Even the most seasoned soldiers of the Jarl's Honor Guard couldn't help but drop their jaws for a moment as they watched Gala smash into the screaming mass of claws, fangs, and horns that swept over the fortress. It wasn't just his breathtaking skill, but also his fearlessness and the sheer aggressiveness of his technique. Gala fought like a rabid bear, and no armor, enchanted or not, could save the demonic scum from her wrath. Emboldened, the Jarl's guards let out battle cries and shattered the demonic army's spine in a day of fierce fighting. At the end of the battle, even Gala's father was left speechless. The old man said to himself that this must be the most glorious moment of his life: to fight alongside his daughter and win a victory worthy of their great ancestors. Of course, he continued to grumble and curse when the kingdom was safe and Gala's thirst for adventure led her to join the king's expedition to the surface. But never again did he allow himself to be hampered by the fate of his child.
