What determines the choice of a magic wand in Hogwarts Legacy?
Each stick is unique and differs according to the type of wood, the heart, the flexibility and the size corresponding to the personality of its owner. Although the wand chooses its wizard, it is important to know the details for each characteristic.
The different types of wood
The chopsticks are made of various woods according to the age and date of birth of their wearers:
- Birch : 24/12 – 20/01
- Mountain ash : 21/01 -17/02
- Ash : 18/02 – 17/03
- Alder : 18/03 – 14/04
- Willow : 15/04 – 12/05
- Hawthorn : 13/05 – 09/06
- Oak : 10/06 – 07/07
- Holly : 08/07 – 04/08
- Hazel : 05/08 – 01/09
- Vine : 02/09 – 29/09
- Ivy : 30/09 – 27/10
- Reed : 28/10 – 24/11
- elderberry : 25/11 – 23/12
Types of hearts
Three possibilities of wand cores are available to sorcerer's apprentices: the Dragon's Ventricle, the unicorn horsehair or the Phoenix Feather. It's up to everyone to make their choice according to their preferences, knowing that this characteristic does not impact the rest of the game.

The size
As for the size of the wand, it varies from 22 to 35 centimeters and must be adapted to the size of the wizard. But in the game it doesn't change much.
