How do I use the codes on Pokémon Scarlet?
To use codes in Pokémon Scarlet, the procedure is to use the “Mystery gift“. Unlike other games, you need to have made a minimum amount of progress in the story (around 1h30 of play) to unlock this option after reaching your first Pokémon Center.
1 On your Nintendo Switch, launch your game and press the X button to open the main menu.
2. Select option Poké Portal (the icon with the dialogue bubbles).
3. In the list, choose Mystery gift at the very bottom.
4. Select Get via code or password. Your console will then connect to the Internet.
5. Enter your code carefully (the letters I, O and Z are generally not used, to avoid confusion with 1, 0 and 2).
6. Confirm, and your gift will be transferred directly to your team or PC boxes.
