The capture of beasts
Capturing the 12 magical creatures, bringing them back to the Room of Requirement, and raising them are part of the tasks to complete in order to obtain the Finding the Cub trophy and achievement. Aside from the 12, you can also capture a Phoenix, but you can't breed multiple species at the same time, which makes the breeding process a bit less complicated. To capture beasts, you must first complete the main quest, The Elf, The Capture Bag, and the Loom, upon completion of which you will receive the necessary means to achieve this. Then, you need to talk to Cheek and complete the side quest “The House-elf in Distress”. You'll then be required to purchase an enclosure for raising beasts from the Tomes and Scrolls shop in Hogsmeade and place it in your vivarium.
After following these steps, you can start searching for magical beasts in the world of Hogwarts Legacy. To grab one, just sneak up behind it and activate the grab bag, which will greet it. of disillusionment so that they do not escape you.
Breeding of animals
After capturing the beasts which looks rather simple, breeding them takes a bit more effort. To mate two creatures, you must have successfully captured a male and a female of the same species. These beasts must then be placed in the vivarium in the Room of Requirement.
The first thing you need to do is interact with the book located outside the vivarium. Then, you will have to wait 30 minutes until the breeding process is complete and a new beast is born.
