Hogwarts Legacy is best known for its side content that offers a unique experience to its players, making them fully immersed in their adventure as a sorcerer's apprentice in its vast open world. Among the various places where the side quests of the game take place, we can mention Campolard-en-haut (Upper Hogsfield), the hamlet closest to Hogwarts.
You will be given two side quests in Campolard-en-Haut in Hogwarts Legacy, one of which is called A Brother's Fate. The quest is triggered after a conversation with Dorothy Sprottle, who is concerned about the disappearance of Bardolph Beaumont. You will have to fight difficult enemies in this quest, which is why it is better to wait until you are at level 17 to start it.

Unfolding of the Fate of a Brother side quest in Hogwarts Legacy
To complete the Brother's Keeper quest in Hogwarts Legacy, players must investigate the camp where Bardolph Beaumont resided. Bardolph is said to have practiced dark magic near the forest and was last seen by Dorothy Sprottle next to a ruin in Rokwood Territory.
According to the old lady, Bardolph had problems with the Ashwinders following a promise he could not keep. Thus, he has been absent for some time, causing concern among the inhabitants of his town, in particular his sister Claire Beaumont, to whom he had promised help to run his store.
Once you have gathered all the information about this, you will need:
- Teleport to the Ford Bog North Entrance fast travel point or use the Broomstick to fly to the destination shown on the map.
- Equip yourself with gear with high stats, as you'll face a Tracker Poacher and Inferi along the way.
In the ruin you will find that it is crawling with Inferi who must be defeated with fire spells or explosive barrels to make them vulnerable to further attacks. Once all of these enemies have been defeated, the corpse of Bardolph Beaumont will come out of the ruin's floor and start attacking you, leaving you with no choice but to take him down, as he has transformed into an Inferi. You will be rewarded with the character's Sweater upon killing it. Then return to Campolard-en-haut to announce Bardolph's fate to his sister Claire Beaumont. Here's how:
- Teleport to the Campolard-en-Haut fast travel point, or use your Broom.
- Go to Claire Beaumont's shop to talk to her.
By returning to Claire, you can tell her that her brother Bardolph turned into an Inferi and was killed. The girl will refuse to listen to you unless you show her her brother's Sweater. Otherwise, you can deviate from the truth and tell him that Bardolph has decided to start a new life somewhere other than Campolard-en-bas. Upon completing this quest, you will be rewarded with 180 XP and a black arrow wand handle.
