Acquire more poisonous tentacles in Hogwarts Legacy
A small amount of Venomous Tentacle can be found for free in the Greenhouses of Hogwarts Castle, but the quickest and easiest way to obtain Venomous Tentacle is to purchase it from the Dogweed and Deathcap shop.
A mature poisonous tentacle plant is worth 1,050 gold galleons. You can also buy fertilizer for 300 gold galleons from other vendors, like the Magic Neep in Hogsmeade, to increase the yield of the plant.
However, before you rush out to buy it, know that it is only possible to grow the Venomous Tentacle in large pots in the Room of Requirement. So first you have to buy and spawn a potting table with big pots to start growing it.
Using the Venomous Tentacle in Hogwarts Legacy
The Venomous Tentacle is a plant used in combat, very useful for fighting groups of enemies, since it acts a bit like a turret that shoots acid at nearby enemies. To use it in combat, simply select it from the equipment wheel and deploy it during combat.
If you're using an Xbox controller, hold down the LB button to open the wheel, use the right stick to select the plant, then press LB again during combat to deploy the Venomous Tentacle where you want it.
Locating and using the Venomous Tentacle is also a prerequisite for obtaining the Wingardium Leviosa spell as well as the Mandrake as part of Professor Garlick's Assignment #1 side quest. You can do this by either buying the plants and using them on enemies, or growing them in the Room of Requirement before searching the world map for enemies to throw them at.
Giant poisonous tentacles can even be encountered in the side quests Venomous Valor and Venomous Vengeance.
