Minecraft had sold more than 350 million copies worldwide by 2025. It is the best-selling video game in history, across all platforms.
In terms of active players, the game had approximately 204 million monthly active players by the end of 2024.
How many copies have been sold worldwide?
The milestone of 300 million copies sold was announced by Mojang during the October 2023 Minecraft Live event. That figure has since been surpassed. In fact, Mojang confirmed 350 million copies sold in 2025 in the Minecraft Annual report published in April.
These sales records put the game far ahead of its competitors; no other title comes close in terms of verified paid units across PC, console, and mobile.
Minecraft therefore remains the all-time record in the video game industry.
