By playing Hogwarts Legacy, you will need to unlock your talents in order to improve your character and have your own style in the game. However, you will not be able to activate them from the start of your game. some steps to follow to unlock them in this tutorial.

At what point in the game do talents appear in Hogwarts Legacy?
Talents are divided into 5 categories as seen in the image above: Spells, Dark Arts, Heart, Stealth, and Room of Requirement. As each student discovers their talent as they learn, the talent section will be greyed out when starting the game and will only activate after completing certain quests. Indeed, the talent tree appears from level 5, and as your skills progress, some that are even more advanced are accessible at levels 16 and 22.
How to activate them?
Before you can unlock them, you must complete the Jackdaw's Rest quest. In the main story, this is where you find an old book with Professor Fig and try to recover the missing pages by following the ghost of Richard Jackdaw who takes you to the Forbidden Forest and search for clues in his tomb. As soon as you complete this part of the game, you will be able to access talents with each level up and you will gain an additional talent point for each level reached after level 5. Talent points can be spent in the talent tree to add a variety of passives that your character will need for the rest of the game.
You will be able to use talents to customize your character by going to the game's main menu where you will find the 5 categories and choose one.
