Liabilities Voidborn Resilience, the true strength of the object
The heart of Jak’sho is his unique passive ability, Voidborn Resilience. For every second you spend fighting a champion, you earn a armor and magic resistance bonuses for 6 seconds.
The effect accumulates up to 8 stacks maximum, which means that your stamina gradually increases throughout the battle.
Once at the maximum number of stacks, your total resistance is increased by another 15% at the end of the fight.
It is this mechanism of Voidborn Resilience which makes the item so formidable in long duels and major team fights, particularly thanks to the magic damage dealt to enemies within a 700-unit radius up to the maximum number of stacks.
Please note : The liabilities section does not include no life drain. Jak’sho It doesn't heal you; it just makes you harder and harder to kill as time goes on. In a short, burst-heavy fight, you won't have time to stack it up—in that case, another tank item will often be more cost-effective.
Ornn can transform the object into its "masterwork" version, The Unspoken Parasite, with better stats.
Liabilities Voidborn Resilience remains the same.
Which champions should Jak'sho play?
The object shines on the tanks in League of Legends that remain in contact for a long time and quickly reach the maximum number of stacks :
- Malphite : His passive damage increases with his armor, which he stacks even more thanks to the item.
- Sion and Ornn : Teamfight tanks that dive into the thick of battle and take full advantage of the resistance booster.
- Nasus and Cho’Gath : bruisers designed for prolonged combat who become nearly unplayable once they reach their maximum resistances.
Jak’sho or another tank item?
Choose Jak’sho when you know your battles are going to be long. Facing off against teams that rely on burst, another tank item focused on raw health or wave clear might be a better fit.
Jak’sho is the item to prioritize if you’re playing a champion who stays in the thick of the fray and engages in long duels: these types of champions get the most out of the passive. Voidborn Resilience.
