History of Perceneige

The figure of the Frostbringer, sometimes known as the Snow Maiden, first appeared in Sir Nicholas's tales three centuries ago. She is said to have been a warrior raised by the Holy Order—one of the legendary Maidens of the Temple—who had a vision of a great pillar of light rising above an ancient glacier and burning away the darkness.

Upon awakening, the young girl knew what she had to do. After gathering her spear and armor, she ventured into the frozen lands beyond the walls of her monastery to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Sir Nicholas. The dangers were many, the enemies deadly. But thanks to her skill and faith, the brave young woman fought to overcome them.

She defeated the frost-skinned trolls who sought to repel the intruder, purged the undead who rose from beneath the snow, guided by the dark will of the Shadow, and braved formidable mountains on the path that led her to her goal. Even the fearsome drakes failed to dent her determination.

Then she saw it—the mighty fortress of stone and ice rising above the horizon. Beaten and wounded, she continued on her way, for no fatigue could stop her when her goal was in sight. She walked for three days and three nights, sinking waist-deep into the snow, and only reached the steps of the fortress when the full moon of the third night shone above her head.

She collapsed, but the light of Lumaya's servants does not fade so easily. Sir Nicholas himself stepped forward to lift the brave girl up, and with the blessing of the Arbiter, she was granted eternal life. Since that fateful night, Frostbringer has remained a loyal companion and friend to all members of Sir Nicholas' band of champions.
