As you make your way through the Vallons Fleuris, the plot of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 takes you straight to the Bishop. The boss marks the end of this early-game area.

You'll find it at the very end of the area, after following the main path to the clearing. Look for the red icon on the map below:

Once the Bishop is defeated, that marks the end of the Flowering Valleys. You then move on to the next part of the main storyline.

What are the Bishop's combat mechanics in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 ?

The Bishop is the first boss in the main storyline that you face with only 2 characters. In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, this isn't the hardest fight. Here are the mechanics you need to know to defeat the Bishop in the Flowering Valleys zone.

• It activates shields that absorb the damage he takes. These shields are easily shattered by a character's attack. An ability of the Overload type Gustave can also remove several at once.
• He is vulnerable to the element Ice. Focus your ice attacks to maximize your damage.
• When he attacks you, he unleashes two single-target attacks in quick succession. He finishes with a strike that hits both of your characters.
• Its attacks are slow. You can easily dodge them by watching the animation showing the attack's path on the ground.
• He cites two Nevrons Mitrien, which are also vulnerable to ice.

• The boss and its henchmen are susceptible to ice damage. Take advantage of the Ice Spear from Moon to slow him down and deal damage to him.
• Also uses the Moonburn ability. The Bishop is not vulnerable to fire, but takes passive damage throughout the entire battle.
• Target the minions' weak spots as soon as they are summoned. They'll appear with a red crosshair and will go down quickly that way.
• Don't neglect firing to weaken the boss's shields.
• Enjoy the Overloading Gustave to deal massive damage and stun it. You then gain an extra turn to deal damage, without having to dodge or parry.
