Hogwarts Legacy allows players to earn gold (galleons) in exchange for their old equipment. At the start of the game, you'll be given a standard student attire. As you progress through the story, you will gain access to a wide range of outfits and equipment, some of which can improve your defense, health, and attack stats. How to sell your equipment in Hogwarts Legacy
Hogwarts Legacy does not have a menu for selling items, so you must go to certain NPC to do so. Immediately after your first lessons at Hogwarts, you will be asked to make your first visit to Pré-au-Lard to buy some supplies with another student in your class.
Where can I sell items and equipment?
There are a number of stores and boutiques to explore in the town, but you should look first at the one at Thomas Brown (the Tomes and Scrolls shop), where you can exchange any items you no longer need for galleons. You can also visit other shops in Hogsmeade, which will also take your items in exchange for galleons. What's more, the value of the items exchanged will remain the same for all sellers.
After starting a discussion with a salesperson:
- Change the Buy section to Sell by pressing the R1 button on your joystick.
- You'll see the total value of your equipment items and the value of each item individually in the Sell section.
- Select the equipment item you want to sell, then confirm the sale.
