The Villager's Tomb is a kind of secret zone and a little difficult to spot in Hogwarts Legacy. However, it's well worth a visit, as you'll find a puzzle to solve and a mysterious reward Where a treasure chest to obtain, but you may also encounter other ghosts outside Hogwarts Castle.
Note that the Villager's Grave and the Tomb of Betrayal are not exactly the same, but are linked to each other in the game Hogwarts Legacy. You will find the Villager's Grave in the northern part of the Hogsmeade map. However, the tomb entrance is only accessible at night, when some of the ghosts from Hogwarts Legacy appear in the graveyard.
- Climb the cemetery stairs and pass a pair of ghosts playing catch with a ghostly head. There's a crypt entrance nearby called the Villager's Tomb.
- Once inside, you can find a chest and a small bag on the left near a secret wall entrance that opens when you approach it.

- A set of pillars will block your path, and you will see a strange circular symbol on the floor. This is where you must solve the puzzle.
Solving the riddle of the villager's tomb
To solve the riddle of the Villager's Grave, you must follow the following steps:
Use the rotating platform:
On the left side of the room is a small bowl on a rotating platform.
- Use a fire spell like Incendio to light the bowl if it has not already been ignited during battle, which causes the platform to spin.
- Jump on the platform and stand on the circular pressure switch. The wall rotates, teleporting you to the space behind the wall of pillars.
Use Accio to complete the puzzle
Behind the pillars, there's a cube on a small platform in the wall.
- Use the spell Accio to catch it and place it on the floor so that you can catch it from a distance.
- Use the rotating wall mechanism to return to the previous area with the circular symbol.
- You can use Accio again to lift the cube into the air.
- Place it on the circular symbol on the floor in front of the pillars and cast Incendio on the cube to make it glow.
The launch of Incedio will thus open up a secret door behind the pillars leading to an adjacent room containing a treasure chest and exit the villagers' tomb. Inside, you will find an unidentified object, possibly a head or face, which you can identify using the identification table in the room upon request.
