The official method involves the settings of the app, on both phones and tablets. Here are the steps to follow:
- Open the’application Tinder and log in with your identifiers ;
- Press the’profile icon at the top of the screen; ;
- Go to Settings ;
- Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page; ;
- Press Delete account, then confirm the deletion.
All your personal data (photos, messages, matches) are deleted permanently. This action is irreversible.
Can you delete your account from a web browser?
The web version at tinder.com is still very limited when it comes to account management. The permanent deletion of your data can only be done from the’mobile app (iOS Where Android). If you no longer have the app, reinstall it, sign in with your email address or linked account, and then follow the steps above again.
What happens to your data after it's deleted?
Once your account is deleted, your profile will no longer appear in suggestions, and your past matches will no longer be able to see you. Your data (name, age, location, photos) are removed permanently. In accordance with its privacy policy, Tinder retains certain information for a limited time before it is completely erased, for reasons of privacy and legal certainty.

How do I temporarily hide my profile?
Do you just want to take a break without deleting everything? Tinder offers a feature Pause which hides your profile from the Discovery Mode. Your matches, your likes and your posts will remain unchanged, and the people you've already chatted with can continue to message you.
Here's how to enable this option:
- Log in to your account Tinder ;
- Press your profile picture at the top of the screen; ;
- Open the Settings ;
- Scroll down to the section View my profile on Tinder and turns off the option.
Your profile will be hidden from new users. Your data remain intact. You can reactivate everything whenever you want, without having to start from scratch.
What should you do if you can't delete your Tinder account?
Most issues stem from a simple technical problem, not an actual bug. Here are the most common issues and how to fix them:
- The “Delete Account” button does not appear : Check to make sure the app is up to date via the’App Store Where Google Play. The option should reappear in the settings.
- An error message appears : Check that your telephone is properly connected to the Internet. If the problem persists, wait a few minutes and then try again.
If nothing works, contact the support Tinder through the "Manage My Account" tool in the official Help Center (https://www.help.tinder.com/hc/fr). Describe your issue and attach your phone number or the email address associated with the account, our teams will take over.
One last useful point: you can't Delete only your own account and the game's data associated with it. If a member causes problems, the only recourse is to report directly to Tinder.
