The main films

The Fast and The Furious (2001)

The first part of the saga, Fast and Furiousdirected by Rob Cohen, is inspired by the article Racer X by journalist Ken Li published in Vibe.

The film introduces the franchise's main characters and lays the groundwork for the plot, immersing viewers in the world of street racing where Dominic Toretto reigns supreme, an ex-convict and his gang, whom he considers his family.

Brian O'Conner, an ambitious Los Angeles cop with a passion for cars, is chosen to infiltrate this gang suspected of being behind several truck heists.

Brian develops a deep bond with this family and sides with them, even going so far as to oppose his colleagues in order to protect Dominic and the game's other members the police, but also for counter attacks from rival gangs led by Johnny Tran. In the end, he allows Dom to escape to show his friendship, even though Dom has learned his true identity.

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

Directed by John Singleton : Brian, hounded by the police for treason, exiled to Miami where he has built up a reputation as a night-time street racer. However, the FBI track him down and offer him an opportunity: erase his criminal record in exchange for a risky mission requiring his skills as a pilot.

Its task is to help the FBI arrest Carter Verona (played by Cole Hauser), a businessman suspected of money laundering. He meets Twinkie, who introduces him to the underground and nocturnal world of drifting.

Sean soon finds himself in a confrontation with Takashi, the race leader nicknamed DK for Drift Kingwho is also a member of the Yakuza. During his journey, he meets acquaintance of Han, a mentor who guides him through drifting to become an accomplished pilot.

Fast and Furious 4 (2009)

After Tokyo, Justin Lin takes the helm of "Fast & Furious 4"and picks up where the second opus left off, with the return of the original castwho had initially declined the offer to shoot the third installment.

L'story takes place five years laterWe're back with Brian O'Conner, now an FBI agent, and Dom Toretto, still on the run and leading a team of pilots.

Despite their past differences, the two men join forces to take on Arturo Bragaa drug baron responsible for Letty's death. This mission brings the former accomplices closer together and allows Brian to renew his relationship with Dom's sister Mia.

Although Dom was sentenced to 25 years in prison as a result of his involvement, Brian and Mia manage to break him out during his transfer to a prison.

"Fast & Furious 5" follows on directly from the fourth installment after Dom, Mia and Brian's escape. Their destination: Rio, where they find themselves forced to take part in a final coup to clear their names and regain their freedom.

It's an opportunity to form a team made up of old and new driversincluding Roman Pearce, Tej Parker, Vince, Han Seoul-Oh and Gisèle Harabo. Together, they target corrupt businessman Hernan Reyes.

Turbo-Charged Prelude (2003)

This 6-minute short is included on the special edition DVD of 2 Fast 2 Furiousthe second part of the series. Although it serves as a transition between the first and second films, it is not imperative to view it to follow the main story.

This brief sequence summarizing the escape of ex-cop Brian O'Connerleaving Los Angeles for Miami. "Turbo-Charged Prelude"remains relatively anecdotal. However, devoted fans of the saga may have a different opinion!

Los Bandoleros (2009)

Vin Diesel reprises his role in this second short film, which acts as a kind of prequel to the events of the film Fast and Furious 4. "Los Bandoleros"is included as a bonus in the special edition of the film Fast and Furious 4and Blu-ray versions.

This short duration 20 minutes focuses on fugitive Dominic Toretto, hiding out in the Dominican Republic after the events of the first Fast and Furious. Dominic organizes his friend Leo Tego's escape from prison, before discovering an opportunity to hijack a gasoline convoy. It's there that he meets up with Letty, rekindling the flame in their relationship.
