Are you looking for an SEO training course that can be funded through your CPF in July 2026? Let's be clear right away: the real SEO training courses still eligible for CPF can be counted on the fingers of one hand, Most of them simply teach the basics. You can consult the updated list below. But don't expect miracles: these courses are designed to help you discover SEO, not to make a living from it.
To really get into SEO in 2026, you need to training with someone who lives it.
My recommendation: The Business Legion (TBL) by Romain Pirotte. I had the opportunity to meet Romain in Chiang Mai (where I live), and the difference is obvious: he's created thousands of sites, generates a 6-figure income with them, and passes on his complete methods, not just the basics you can find for free on YouTube.
The real question is: do you want to relearn the way you did at school, or do you want to go back to the way you were? you want a successful pro to give you his techniques from A to Z ? Personally, I gave up the school approach a long time ago, and I wish I'd known about TBL sooner.
⚠ Please note: the latest news is that TBL is no longer eligible for CPF. Regulations on SEO training courses are becoming stricter by the year. However, OPCO and Pôle Emploi funding and payment facilities are still available, to be confirmed directly with them before registration.
Want to start your online business with TBL training?

👉 In summary :

- 🔬 You're already at ease and want to specialize → Jérôme Pasquelin (expired domains) or SEO High Level (advanced techniques).
How to choose the right SEO training in 2026: 3 criteria that change everything
Most comparisons will tell you to “define your objectives” and “check the value for money”. That's true, but it applies to any training course. For SEO in particular, a field that evolves every 6 months with Google updates and the arrival of AI, here are the 3 criteria that really make the difference between training that helps you progress and training that costs you €2,000.
1. 🔍 Does the trainer have any sites that REALLY rank?
This is criterion no. 1, and the one nobody checks. Many “SEO trainers” are actually consultants who theorize or old hands who've been out of the game for 5 years. The SEO of 2020 has almost nothing in common with that of 2026.
👉 How to check in 3 minutes :
- Ask the trainer for the URLs of 2 or 3 sites he owns (no customers, no “anonymized case studies”).
- Enter these URLs into Ahrefs or SEMrush (the limited free versions are sufficient): if the site has been stagnant or falling for 6 months on Ahrefs, beware, because an SEO trainer should have sites that are growing, not sleeping.
- Search for the trainer on Twitter/X and LinkedIn : active in the French SEO community? Does he share concrete results, revenue screenshots, Google update analyses? Or just motivational quotes?
⚠ If you can't find any public record of his results, ask yourself: why is he hiding?
2. 🆕 Is the content up to date with 2026 techniques?
SEO in 2026 is nothing like it was 3 years ago. If training doesn't cover at a minimum these 4 subjects, it is obsolete:
- ✅ EEAT and the author's signature (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness): central since the Helpful Content Updates from Google.
- ✅ Integrating AI into the SEO workflow Not for generating spammy content, but for keyword research, SERP analysis and semantic cocoon structuring.
- ✅ Clean netlinking in 2026 Backlinks: buying massive amounts of backlinks doesn't work like it used to. Today's techniques (clean PBNs, well-chosen expired domains, editorial link building) require know-how.
- ✅ Adapting to EMS / AI Overviews : Google is displaying more and more AI-generated answers at the top of the results. Training that ignores this subject will leave you working in a vacuum.
👉 How to check : ask for the date of the last program update (not the creation of the course). If the answer is vague or more than 12 months old, run away.
3. 👥 Is there an active community after training?
You can't learn SEO by watching 30 hours of videos alone on your sofa. You'll have questions specific to your project, you'll miss Google updates, you'll get stuck on concrete cases. Good SEO training in 2026 means 30% of courses + 70% of community and ongoing mentoring.
👉 What to look for:
- A Discord or active Slack with other students who ask questions and share their results.
- Access to life or long-term content updates (SEO changes every 6 months, a static training course loses its value).
- Regarding the regular live sessions with the trainer to dissect new Google updates or algo evolutions.
⚠ A €2,000 course with no community or updates is worth less than a €500 course that does. Price alone is no indicator of quality.
📊 Summary: these 3 criteria applied to the 6 training courses
| Training | Active trainer on own sites | Content updated to 2026 | Active community |
|---|---|---|---|
| ⭐ The Business Legion | ✅ Romain Pirotte makes a living from SEO | ✅ Regular updates | ✅ Discord very active |
| LearnyClub | ✅ Several publishers | ✅ Recent modules (AI, TikTok) | ✅ Community presents |
| LiveMentor | ⚠ Various mentors (uneven quality) | ✅ Renewed program | ✅ Mentoring 1-to-1 |
| Jérôme Pasquelin | ✅ Expired domains specialist active | ⚠ Focus on a single technique | ⚠ More limited |
| SEO High Level | ✅ Recognized trainers | ✅ Very advanced content | ❌ No post-training community |
| The Makers | ✅ Asyncr0ne active on its sites | ⚠ To be verified (no public info) | ⚠ Community Discord small |
✅ Criterion well met - ⚠ Partial or variable - ❌ Missing
Why is the CPF no longer enough to train in SEO in 2026?
If you have come to this article by searching for “CPF SEO training”, Here is the truth that no one is telling clearly: the CPF is no longer a good quality filter for choosing SEO training in 2026. Here's why, and how to make the right choice in spite of everything.
📉 The reality: France Compétences has tightened the rules
Since 2024, France Compétences (the body that validates RNCP/RS certifications eligible for CPF) has considerably tightened its criteria for digital marketing professions. Concrete result:
- ✅ Many training courses very general have retained their eligibility (LearnyClub, LiveMentor...). They teach the basics of SEO but also 5 other subjects in parallel.
- ❌ Many of the best French SEO training courses (including TBL, at last count) have lost their eligibility, or have chosen not to renew it: the procedure being cumbersome, costly and incompatible with content that is updated every month.
In other words: CPF eligibility no longer correlates with pedagogical quality. A training course can be excellent without being CPF, and vice versa.
🎯 What the CPF is still useful for
The CPF makes sense in two specific cases:
- Discover SEO without the financial risk If you're still hesitating to take the plunge, a CPF training course such as LearnyClub (from €97) or LiveMentor can help you test whether you like the job before making a more serious investment.
- Justify an increase in in-house skills If you're an employee and your employer wants a recognized certificate to validate your new SEO missions, the CPF ticks the administrative box.
⚠ What the CPF won't be enough for
If your goal is to make a living from SEO, Whether you want to create sites that rank, set up a web publishing business, become a freelance consultant or launch an affiliate business like Alucare, general CPF training courses won't take you all the way.
They will give you the basics (and that's good enough), but not the advanced techniques that make the difference: advanced netlinking, expired domains, semantic cocooning, scaling monetization, AI applied to SEO.
To do this, you need training from someone who lives it with verifiable results. That's exactly the philosophy of TBL with Romain Pirotte, and that's why I'm recommending it at the top of this comparison despite the absence of CPF.
💡 How to check your CPF budget (just in case)?
If you still want to test the waters with your CPF, here's how:
- Log on to on moncompteformation.gouv.fr using FranceConnect to check your balance (usually €500 per year for full-time employees, capped at €5,000).
- Consult the current list of SEO training courses still available on maformation.fr.
- If your CPF budget covers all or part of a LearnyClub or LiveMentor training program, go for it! It's money that's otherwise sleeping in your account.
- If your goal is more ambitious, Contact TBL to discuss OPCO or Pôle Emploi financing, which is often possible even outside the CPF.
