Wanting to remove someone from your friend list happens to everyone. It's quite common on Facebook. If this idea has ever crossed your mind, it is to your credit. Someone on your friend list may be malicious. Or even that your ex is among your friends and you no longer want to keep in touch with him. The quickest solution is to remove this friend from your list. If you don't know how, here's how.
Remove a friend from your list
To do this, here are some tips:
- First, enter the name of the person you want to remove from your friend list in the top search bar on Facebook;
- Then, click at the top of their profile;
- Then, click Remove Friends;
- Finally, click Confirm.
You may not be able to find the profile you want to remove from your friends list. This profile may already be deactivated. You can still remove this person from your friend list.
Remove a deactivated profile
To do this, here are the steps to follow:
- First, click on your profile picture which is located at the top right of Facebook;
- Then click on Friends;
- Then, find the name of the disabled profile;
- Finally, click on the three dots on the profile, select Remove friends. And voila.
For your information, the profile you have removed from your friends will not be informed.
Block a profile
Other cases also arise on Facebook, indeed, apart from removing a person from your list of friends, you can also block the latter. The person you block will no longer be able to see your profile picture, add you to their friends list, or even send you a message. If you don't know how to block this profile from your friends list, here's how:
- The process is the same as removing a friend, you must click on the name or go directly to the profile of the person you want to block from your friends list;
- Then click Report/Block;
- Finally, indicate the reason for the blockage and that's it.
