History of Brisecage
When the last yellow leaf falls, the ogryns tremble and flee to their homes" – Arabic proverb. According to an ancient ogryn legend, Gurgoh the Blizzard is a half-ogre, half-skinwalker who is said to haunt the Peak of the Ice Golem.
Waking with the first snows of winter, he roams the foothills in search of ogryn children to feed to the ice golem. "If you don't eat your sheep, Gurgoh will come," or "Do you hear Gurgoh knocking? He's asking why you don't want to go to bed." All ogres have heard these words since childhood.
Many would say that Gurgoh is just a tall tale for children, but during the darkest winters, many young ogres from the region disappear inexplicably, leaving behind only empty footprints in the snowdrifts below the peak.
Even today, it is difficult to find an ogre outside his hut when it snows heavily, because everyone knows that when a blizzard begins to howl, Gurgoh is nearby... Captured by the dark elves, these two ogryn brothers were destined to be little more than livestock for the arena. But they proved to be much more skilled and resilient than their captors had imagined.
Thanks to their skills and teamwork, the Cagebreaker and the Towering Titan—as the public dubbed them—not only survived, but also managed to gain a number of followers. Yet their fate was already sealed: the two relentless brothers would meet their demise at the hands of the reigning champion, Grandhammer. At least, that was what the slave masters had planned.
Grandhammer himself had little desire to continue shedding blood on behalf of the slave owners who kept him bound and tortured with unspeakable magic. So he devised an escape plan, which he managed to share with his potential adversaries the night before the big performance.
Although reluctant to take such a risk and suspecting cowardice, the ogryns were eventually persuaded and agreed to follow Grandhammer's example. When the time came, they staged bloody and merciless fights against each other, distracting the arena guards. At the same time, Grandhammer and other gladiators attacked their tormentors, and soon Cagebreaker and Towering Titan joined their fellow slaves in the uprising.
Once freed, they chose to return to their tribe, wearing the gladiator armor and master weapons with which the Dark Elves had equipped them. These powerful defenders will surely deter slave traders from conducting further raids against their families.
