What are the tips for Monopoly GO tournaments?
It's hard to get first place in every Monopoly GO tournament, but sometimes it's a blessing in disguise. I'm going to give you all the tips and tricks I use myself during tournaments:
- Don't try to make too many points:
You might think that aiming for first place, or even the TOP 3, would be profitable... But not at all! In fact, as far as I'm concerned, you need to stop once you have finished collecting all the rewards (when you've completed all the levels in the tournament). Because let's imagine you're TOP 7, and you've finished getting all the rewards. If you keep on playing, thinking you'll get to TOP 1, you may indeed get there, but after spending 10,000 dice? Only to end up with 2,000? It's no use at all. Unless you're very close to the top 1, and the tournament is coming to an end. In any case, make sure you calculate the number of dice you're going to spend and the number of dice you're going to win, because sometimes it's not worth it to finish TOP 1. That's why, for my part, I always stop once I've completed all the stages, because that's the wisest thing to do.
- Monopoly GO ranks you according to your score in the previous tournament:
Indeed, I've noticed that if players make a large number of points in the tournament and thus have a good place in the ranking, well... for the next one, players will be put with much stronger players! Whereas if in the last tournament you made very few points, you'll be with players who don't make very many points either at the next tournament. That's why I sometimes play less in certain tournaments. For example, if at the moment there are no special events (Peg-E, partner event or treasure event), but a special event comes up the next day, I try not to earn too many points at the tournament, so that I'm with less strong players at the next tournament. This will allow me to get into the TOP 3 ranking more easily, and so earn better rewards (and useful rewards like treasure event picks).
- Playing during certain boosts:
Indeed, some boost can be interesting to play during the tournament.
