In Elden Ring, items play a crucial role in the player’s progress and survival in the Betweenlands. They come in a wide variety of categories, each with its own uses and effects. It is now possible to craft items, but you must first unlock crafting.
It's simple: you need 300 runes and you have to go to Elleh's church.
Talk to the merchant and buy the crafting kit from him. I put you a little video tutorial to find you there 🙂

Notes on object manufacturing in Elden Ring
You can craft items anywhere, and items are placed directly in your consumables inventory for quick access. Crafting an item that is out of stock automatically fills that slot. However, crafting is not available when you are in combat with an enemy.
Players can expand their crafting repertoire by collecting cookbooks. There are a total of 59 cookbooks that can be found as treasures or purchased from merchants. in the Middle Earth.
