What is the Telegram channel?
Telegram channels were introduced in 2015 on this platform. They are a tool for broadcasting public messages to a wide audience. How do I create/delete these Telegram channels?
To create or delete a Telegram channel, follow these steps:
- Click on the icon at the top right of the iPhone exchange list screen. If you're using an Android phone, click on the pencil icon in the bottom right-hand corner. For a Windows phone, click on the + button on the bottom bar. Then choose New Channel.
- Then give your channel a name, a description and an image.
- Click on the validation tick
- Choose between public and private channels according to your settings. Note that it's possible to define a public link first, then obtain an invitation link for the second.
- Then click on the validation tick to create your channel.
On the other hand, here's the step to delete a channel on Telegram:
- First, go to the exchanges page
- Then click and hold on your channel
- And select the trash icon
- Finally, click on Quit channel to delete it.
How do I join a Telegram channel?
There are several ways to join a Telegram channel. For public groups:
- Go directly to the application's integrated search bar
- Press the magnifying glass on the exchange screen
- Then type in the keywords that interest you
- Then choose the channel, and press Join.
It should be pointed out, however, that Telegram's search tool is limited and not very efficient. To do this, you can access the channels you're interested in directly on the channel generated by the administrator, or via a QR Code. You can find these connection methods on websites, social network profiles and shared in specialized forums. On the other hand, if you want to join a private group, you'll need an invitation link or QR Code. For your information, only administrators can generate and share these means of invitation.
