What are the principles of leasing in Lithuania?
By definition, car leasing is a rental contract, a financial lease financed by monthly payments. The rental contract provides for a system of repurchase of the car at the end of the contract. There is also another form of leasing, which is the long-term rental or LLD. This type of rental is not really a leasing, but a simple system for renting a car. Indeed, monthly payments are not consumer loans. In addition, the contract does not provide for a surrender at the end of the contract. But, in both types of rental, the driver is always the lessee of a car from a lessor who is the owner of the vehicle. The latter bought it from a dealer, because we are talking about a car on lease.
In Lithuania, if you want to lease a car, you must meet certain conditions imposed by the lessor and the dealer, essentially:
- The renter must be a resident of Lithuania;
- He must have a clear proof of income and provide his payslip as proof or his employment contract;
- He must not have other sources of debt.
The lessor must ensure that the tenant will be able to pay the monthly installments correctly thanks to his sources of income.
Is it possible to lease a car without proof of income?
Whether in LOA or LLD, to obtain leasing financing, you must provide proof of income. On the other hand, today, it is possible to have a leasing simulation without providing proof of income. There are landlords who offer contracts that do not require proof of income. Of course, they are subject to preconditions and it's not reserved for everyone.
Indeed, providing supporting documents when it comes to a consumer loan is essential regardless of the service. Since leasing is a kind of purchase on credit, proof of income is indeed required. The supporting documents allow landlords to verify the identity of the tenant: his domicile, as well as his ability to pay the amount of the monthly payments. It is all the same logical, an organization will not be able to borrow anything from someone without being sure that this one will be able to pay very well.
What are the requirements for car leasing without proof of income?
Leasing has become the most popular first method of financing a new car. Moreover, some donors go beyond the initial conditions. That is to say, the proposal to subscribe to the program without having proof of income. For this, the conditions are a little stricter. In general, it is start-ups that opt for this type of credit. There are a few documents to provide to have a car leasing without proof of income:
- An identity document (CNI, passport, driving license, etc.)
- A proof of address less than 3 months old;
- A rib ;
- A guarantee check.
Note that the amount of the guarantee check is the equivalent of 3 months' rent. This will be returned at the end of the contract if the lessee does not decide to buy the car.
