2. When Facebook offers to send a code to the old number, look for the small link that says “No longer have access to these?” or “Try another way.” This is the key step most people miss. It lets you add a new email address that you control, and the recovery process continues from there.
3. Facebook will then usually ask you to confirm your identity. This may involve uploading a photo of an official ID (national ID, passport, driver's license) where the name matches the name on the profile.
