How do I share a document on Google Meet?

You want share a document on Google Meet but don't know how? There are many ways to share content on Meet. You can :

• Share your screen
• Present a file directly from Google Docs, Slides and Sheets
• Use the meeting chat
• Record the meeting on Meet

1. Share your screen

You can share files to videoconference participants by choosing to present on Google Meeta feature available on PC and mobile.

a) Join in Companion mode :

There are 3 options for joining a video call in companion mode:

Avec l’invitation :

1. Meeting on Google Meet,
2. Dans l’invitation à intégrer une réunion planifiée, appuyez sur le bouton “Participate with Google Meet”,

3. Sous l’option “Other ways to get involved”, optez pour “Request Companion mode” puis sur “”To participate”,

4. Press the "Introducing yourself” puis sélectionnez la zone que vous voulez partager pour démarrer le partage,
5. We recommend choosing a tab to share its sound,
6. Appuyez sur “Stop sharing” pour y mettre fin.

Second option:

1. Enter g.co/companion in your browser,
2. Insérez le lien ou sélectionnez le meeting planifié puis appuyez sur “To participate”.

3. Press the "Introducing yourself” puis lancez la présentation sur un autre écran,
4. Select the area to share,
5. Press the "Stop the présentation”lorsque tout est bon.

Third option:

1. Enter https://g.co/present in your browser,
2. Select a scheduled meeting or insert the meeting code dans le champ prévu puis appuyez sur “To participate”.

3. Select the area to be shared then launch the presentation.

4. Press the "Stop sharing” pour mettre fin à la diffusion de l’écran.

b) Introduce yourself on Google Meet during the videoconference

Si la fonctionnalité Compagnon n’est pas disponible pour vous, il se pourrait que l’organisateur ou le coorganisateur de la réunion l’ait désactivé pour vous.

1. Join or create a new meeting,
2. Une fois dessus, appuyez sur l’icône “Introducing yourself”,
3. Puis, sélectionnez la zone à partager (onglet, fenêtre spécifique ou tout l’écran),
4. Start your presentation,
5. Enfin, appuyez sur le bouton “Stop presentation” pour cesser la diffusion.

In this technique, here's how to send files to participants:

1. Join or start a meeting on Meet,
2. Meeting on Google Docs, Google Sheets Where Google Slides,
3. En haut de l’écran, appuyez sur Meet,
4. Choisissez parmi les deux choix présentés : “To start up" Where "Join a meeting” avec un code.

Remark :

This feature is available only on PC, via Chrome or Edge.

3. Use the meeting chat

N’hésitez pas non plus à vous servir du chat pour distribute a file en particulier sur Meet lors d’une visioconférence !

1. Press theChat icon en bas à gauche de l’écran,
2. Open it, then make sure all participants have access,

3. Then simply forward the file link in the chat room for participants to view.

This method is also effective if you want certain people to consult specific files throughout the meeting.

Important note:

• Elle n’est disponible que si le meeting a été organisé avec une Google Workspace compatible edition and only from a computer.
